Taipei, Taiwan – August 4, 2023 – The Taiwan Wind Energy Association (TWIA) hosted its 7th General Assembly and Industry Summit, bringing together government officials, industry leaders, and experts to discuss the future of wind energy in Taiwan.

Vice Premier Cheng Wen-tsan emphasized wind power’s role in Taiwan’s energy transition and the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors. Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs Wang Mei-hua highlighted Taiwan’s progress in offshore wind power and the need for international partnerships to enhance competitiveness.

With over 500 attendees from 37 enterprises and research institutions, discussions covered technological advancements, supply chain localization, and smart manufacturing. Industry leaders called for greater investment in innovation and stronger cross-sector collaboration.

As Taiwan pushes toward renewable energy targets, TWIA continues to bridge government policies with industry needs, fostering partnerships and knowledge exchange. The summit marked another key step in Taiwan’s green energy development, solidifying its position in the global wind power market.
